Proses membuat barangan tembaga bermula dengan membuat acuan lilin,Acuan lilin yang telah keras akan dipisahkan daripada acuan utama. Acuan lilin yang telah siap dicelupkan ke dalam bancuhan tanah liat halus yang telah ditapis lapisan ini berfungsi untuk menyekat atau mengepung cairan tembaga supaya mengikut bentuk acuan lilin. Apabila lapisan pertama sudah cukup kering maka lapisan kedua pula akan ditampal, lapisan kedua mempunyai campuran tanah liat dan pasir kasar. Selepas lapisan kedua selesai ditampal maka lapisan ketiga pula ditampal dimana lapisan ketiga terdiri daripada bancuhan tanah liat dan sekam padi. Acuan yang benar-benar kering akan dimasukkan ke dalam dapur untuk menghapuskan lilin dalam acuan. Setelah tembaga benar-benar cair proses penuagan akan dilakukan. Akhir sekali acuan tanah akan dipecahkan untuk mengeluarkan barangan tembaga. Proses terakhir adalah mengilap tembaga.
